Increasing Your Breast Size

How to increase breast size is a question that crosses many womens minds. Many of us were not born with the genes to have a D or DD breast size, or even a C for that matter! Some of us may have had a breast size we were happy with yet after having a family, and perhaps breastfeeding, you may have been left with an A or B cup.

Regardless of your reasons and motivation for wanting to increase your breast size there are a few factors to consider.

  • Only decide on a breast enlargement if it is what YOU want to do
  • familiarise yourself with the various options that are available to you (read on for more about this)
  • understand the risks and financial input and any costs that may be involoved if any conmplications occur

Breast Augmentation

If you are considering increasing your breast size there really is only one option that will give you the result that you desire. Having a breast augmentation (enlargement) allows you to choose the shape and size of breast that you like and that will suit your body type. Having a breast enlargement can be a wonderful and positive experience and your recovery time will depend on what type of implant you opt for, as well as your own personal level of health.

You can start by choosing between round or teardrop (anatomical) implants, according to the look you want to achieve. Have a look at some pictures of both types of imlant before you decide, also look at the risk factors associated with the two types of implant. Many surgeons believe that placing the implant partially or completely under the muscle, that is partially or completely sub-muscular, reduces the risk of capsular contracture. This is in comparison to having a subglandular, or over the muscle placement which, it is asserted by some surgeons, carrys a higher risk factor for contacture.

Make An Informed Decision

Capsular contacture is when your body forms a tissue lining around the implants, this process is totally normal, however in a few cases the lining shrinks and sqeezes the implant causing it to harden. This is capsular contracture and it requires further corrective surgery. Other factors to consider when you are choosing your implant are whether you will get textured or smooth implants and whether to choose silicone or saline implants.

It is a personal choice that will be best made by you only when you have looked at the pro’s and con’s of each choice available to you. When you have a good idea and a few pictures of breasts that you like and don’t like it is time to see your surgeon and get his feedback on your ideas so you can make a final and informed decision.
